Want to find out if your truck needs service?
Come to the Patten Cat Truck Centers and we’ll perform a Chassis Dyno Test for you. A Chassis Dynamometer is a service tool that allows us to quickly identify service problems such as:
- Low horsepower
- Emissions concerns
Stay Up and Running
At Patten Cat Truck Centers in Elmhurst, IL, we use a Chassis Dynamometer to evaluate the performance of your Cat® truck engine. By measuring engine and wheel horsepower, engine coolant temperature, boost, and intake temperatures, Patten technicians can make sure your engine is running at peak performance. Plus, all testing is accompanied by a detailed report of the test results.
This report is called a Performance Analysis Report (PAR), and it compares computer testing results to original specifications to assist mechanics in determining peak engine efficiency.
Let Us Do the Work For You, So You Can Keep Working Hard
During the computerized dyno run, all essential engine information is recorded and then compared to the engine's original performance specifications. Once the problem is identified and the repairs have been made, the chassis dynamometer will verify the problem has been corrected. After an overhaul all engines are run on the dyno to perform correct engine break-in.
