Patten has a large staff of certified welders, including field service welders who are well-versed in all aspects of welding technology. They can perform stick/Mig and Tig welding and routinely weld aluminum, cast iron and other various metals.
Our main mission is to salvage and repair existing components, but we also take pride in our ability to create anything that our customers require. Our job is to make your job easier and your work more productive. Look to Patten to help with creative, intelligent, cost effective solutions. We’re here with the people, tools, facilities, and the technical knowhow to get things done.
Patten also offers an Automated Weld/Bore Process that is a better, stronger and more cost-effective way to rebuild out-of-round bores, from machine frame articulation joints to loader arms and buckets. An out-of-round bore is machined back to round and welded with one precise, consistent bead of weld, then machined to the manufacturer's original specifications - all in one setup. And the entire unit is portable, so repairs can be done in our shop or on site.
Other welding services include:
- Specialty Buckets
- Rebuilds and Repairs
- Roller Frames
- Equalizer Bars
Build and Bore Machining
Repairing of "out of round" bores used to require fabrication of a sleeve insert to restore a bore to original dimensions. This method is not simple, not cost-effective, and generally doesn't last very long.
Luckily, we have a solution to this problem. Whether you have an "out of round" bore on any type machine, conveyor or structure, we can build them with weld material and bore them back to original dimensions. We call this "Build and Bore Machining," and it is the perfect service to take advantage of when you are looking to stop wear before it gets worse and causes additional downtime and unnecessary expense.
This service is available in-shop and in the field for stationary structures.
