In 2004, Garrett was promoted to Product Support Operations Manager and, in 2005, was responsible for instilling a corporate-wide 6 Sigma initiative. Today, 6 Sigma is engrained in Patten's culture and is directly related to significant process and bottom line improvements. Most recently, in 2006, Garrett was promoted to General Manager of Construction Product Support. He is one of three General Managers within Patten.
Garrett continues to seek improvement opportunities and, over the past 5 years, has completed 16 training programs.
